How to become a real estate agent?

Real estate agents specializing in luxury real estate often do business with, very wealthy individuals. We are talking about persons with assets of $30 million or more. These are some of the richest people in the world—a relatively small group, but still growing.

The New York State Department (NYDOS) requires completion of the following steps to order a real estate salesperson's license in New York City:


Understand what your government requires.

Select a real estate school.

Complete your pre-licensing coursework.

Study for your real estate pre-licensing exam.

Apply for and schedule your state real estate exam.

Choose a broker.

Take your license examination.

Become a member of professional real estate organizations.

Complete the required real estate course after obtaining the license.

Start your real estate business.
